KUALA LUMPUR, May 25 ― Former Indonesian vice-president Jusuf Kalla has accused Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim of reneging on a peace deal to respect the outcome of Election 2013 that he brokered between the opposition leader and Datuk Seri Najib Razak in April. The Wall Street Journal reported today interviews with all three parties confirming the secret peace deal, and quoted Jusuf as claiming that he had phoned Anwar a day after the May 5 polls and urged the opposition leader to respect the commitment and “look at reality”.

While the rest of the world are concerned about how to bring about peace, it almost always just stays that way -- most of us are just concerned about it... oh yes, I was saying, while the rest of the world is keeping a stiff upper lip and saying they are concerned indeed, me and my little group was busy trying to do something about it in our own little way. Coming together with my fellow peace lovers was something that brought me so much hope amidst all this adversity. "Together we can make a difference." May sound lame, may lift some eyebrows, but that is something real as far as my group's advocacy is concerned. More important than these scholarly, highfalutin discussions about war, peace, how to bring about peace, how to end war... is our decision to once and for all do something about it. (www.yahoo.com)

It helps to know how these things work. As a peacemaker you have to be more aware of  why things are the way they are in the face of war.

Nobody is allowed to shoot at this. Rebel or military alike.

It was a pleasant surprise to see this guy! I knew him back in high school!

I took a short, surreal ride in this vehicle and sitting there, flashed before my eyes bloody warriors crying in pain. I asked the officer how was it for him attending to a comrade and he said, "It's not easy." I made sure I offered a silent prayer while inside the vehicle asking God to "please take care of whoever is riding here."

Boodle fight!

it's "Boodlefight" actually; a military lingo meaning 'scramble for food'.. may sound barbaric but this activity further enhances camaraderie and esprit d' corps among soldiers & officers alike...
