Do you define beauty by the hundred thousand selfies you post online? Do you feel your valued worth by your edited Instagram photos, feigning affection, faking happiness? Why do you always need to show off and convince people you're living your life like a princess in a castle? The happy ever after is here and now, not in some make believe world where real people do not exist at all. Live it here, embrace the pains that go with it. Real, beautiful women are those who have conquered the dreamland.
'Ugliest woman in the world' inspires more people than any supermodel can
She might be the prettiest woman you’ve ever seen, but nobody, not even a supermodel, can beat the beautiful talks she give.
US motivational speaker Lizzie Velasquez has an unusual genetic ailment that prevents her from gaining weight.
The partially blind 24-year-old has never weighed more than 29kg in her entire life, which explains her skeletal appearance.
It seems like growing up wasn’t easy at all. At school, she was known as the “ugliest” girl and someone had even created a video about her and posted it on YouTube. The video garnered more than four million hits, according to ClashDaily.com.
While some would immerse themselves in self-loathing and dwell in depression or anger due to their unfortunate fate, she has approached her condition with a positive attitude.
At a TEDx convention on 5 December 2013, she shared with the audience the benefits of being her.
"I can eat whatever I want and whenever I want," she said in a cheerful tone. She shared with the audience about a tub of candies she once had and how she would reach out for one whenever she felt like snacking.
What a way to make us, including supermodels, jealous.
Being partially blind for her means that she can literally block annoying people from her sight.
Watch to listen to other benefits of being the charming and inspiring Lizzie Velasquez.
