Anonymously Ken: FREEDOM

I am just a huge fan of this young man who writes really interesting pieces, inspirational, witty and of course funny. His write-ups pay attention to the simple things we see around us everyday but often miss the point why they're there, or why they are what they are. I'm sharing below the first among the many series from his postings and I am proud to say I have his permission. *wide grin*






Freedom is the RESPONSIBLE USE of the LIMITS set by our norms and our moral code. It follows a PROCESS; it follows a SYSTEM.

YOLO (doing stupid and immoral things) thinking DOES NOT promote freedom since it violates our moral code and our norms.

CROWD THINKING DOES NOT promote freedom since it cuts us away from our FREE WILL (that which attracts us towards GOODness--the real goodness); it DISABLES us to CHOOSE and DO what is MORAL and JUST. (NOT EVERYTHING which is approved of by our friends and by our SOCIETY IS MORALLY GOOD. Hence, we MUST make a STAND against such things as INTERNET MORALITY and TEENIE MOVIE Morality.)

FREEDOM is NOT a FREE-FOR-ALL ACTION game where we can do ANYTHING WE WANT TO DO; IF we do ANYTHING WE WANT TO DO and we violate NORMS and MORES, what we have is NOT FREEDOM but SLAVERY.
