IS THIS SUPPOSED TO BE A NEWS???

I don't know how to react to this news, if this is to be called a news at all. So are we supposed to say "Yehey!" because of this P14 increase in wage? A day??? Is that supposed to be an achievement?

Central Luzon wage earners get P14 boost in COLA

Minimum wage earners in Central Luzon will start receiving P14 more per day in their cost of living allowance starting by the end of June, the Department of Labor and Employment said in a statement Monday.

The Central Luzon regional wage board agreed that the impact of higher prices of oil and petroleum products calls for a new wage order, the department said.

Thus, the new rates for non-agriculture minimum wage earners in Bataan, Bulacan, Nueva Ecija, Pampanga, Tarlac and Zambales will be at P330 per day and P322.50 per day for the agriculture sector.

The regional wage boards in Metro Manila and Eastern Visayas earlier approved an additional P22 and P15 COLA for minimum wage earners, also citing oil price increases as a supervening condition for higher allowances.

The new COLA for Metro Manila raised the daily minimum wage to P426
from P404. For Eastern Visayas, the minimum wage increased to P253 from P238. — VS, GMA News

the question is: is this enough? if it is, then we ought to rejoice; and if not (which obviously is), then we continue to fight for a humane increase.
